The Ocular DC Wallbox 40kW delivers direct current (DC) to electric vehicle batteries, unlike AC chargers that rely on the vehicle’s rectifier to convert alternating current (AC) into DC for charging. Most vehicle rectifiers are limited to 7 to 11 kW and are designed for regular use, whereas DC chargers are ideal when a rapid charge is necessary. While AC chargers are sufficient for daily driving, DC chargers are the best solution when quick recharging is required.
